NURSES' KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICES ABOUT ORAL MUCOSITIS OF CANCER PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY IN SULAIMANI CITY/IRAQ

Oral health care is a crucial aspect of oncology nursing practice; therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate nurses’ knowledge and practice with oral mucositis (OM) cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. One hundred nurses were participated from Hiwa Shahid Shaswari Garmian hospitals, in addition demographic, questionnaire designed constructed by the researcher assess nurse’s through The mean age participants 32.15±7.63 years, 53% males 67% them held Diploma degree nursing, while 55% had (1-5) years experience field. (78%) lived Sulaimaniah city. Finally, 84% received education program regarding mucositis. Oncology good levels topics related anatomy cavity (64%), Pathology (73.59%) significant differences found between Nurses on , level academic qualification field mucositis(p<0.05).Good Nurses' directly affected their Practice.
